CPEs
Wavion works with various CPE models that meet the requirements of different applications:

• Outdoor CPEs are used by high-end and business users, requiring high throughput and a coverage area of several kilometers. Installation of such a device is relatively easy, but may require a technician. Working in conjunction with Wavion’s WBS-2400 base station, these CPEs can provide high throughput and coverage of 15-20Km.
• Indoor CPEs with dual zone WiFi are targeted for residential application. These CPEs are easy to install by non-technical users and, therefore, can be self-installed. They receive the broadband access from the outdoor and distribute the Wi-Fi throughout the customer’s premises.

Backhaul
Wavion provides two different approaches for backhaul according to our customers’ requirements:

• Self Beamforming Backhaul - WBS-2400 can provide self backhaul functionality with exceptional performance, utilizing its spatially adaptive beamforming at both ends. Wavion is able to deliver backhaul from one main WBS2400 to additional four remote units.
• External backhaul - In order to provide high capacity and range backhaul connections, Wavion has tested and certified backhaul solutions with directional antennas, in 5.xGHz, to optimize performance of the backhaul to the unit. Furthermore, ease of installation, stability and interference mitigation were key parameters in certifying a backhaul product and add it to Wavion’s solution portfolio.

Access Gateway
Access gateways control the packages that the service operator sells to his end users. Different applications require various capabilities from the access gateway. Prepaid models are often used for occasional end users requiring sporadic WiFi internet access (e.g. in Airports, train stations, hospitals etc.). Business customers and residential require post paid services, which are based on bandwidth, volumes and quality of service packages.
